Honors & Awards

Our learning environment stands apart in many ways. Small class sizes give our students greater opportunity to collaborate with their peers and their teachers. We have enrichment activities built into our weekly schedule to ensure students have the opportunity to explore areas of non-academic interest. Teachers maintain high expectations of students while fostering a safe, challenging, and productive learning environment. Our staff walk in each day with a positive attitude about the school environment and a genuine love for teaching and learning. Our students see this in our teachers and are eager to be on campus and in our classrooms.

9th and 10th grade year students take all of their core high school courses and are provided opportunities to take ownership of their learning through choice-boards, enrichment activities, and representation through the Student Government Association. Ending the 10th grade year students really take the reins on their academic goals. They work with our liaison in the transition to college courses in their 11th-12th/13th grade years. When our students graduate, they have two years worth of college education towards a university degree or going directly into the workforce. We pride ourselves on helping students reach their individual academic goals.

We highlight successes in newsletters, video, and flyers shared to all stakeholders on our various social media platforms, email, and our website. In each of these methods of broad communication our students are involved in the creation process, often leading the initiative to send out information. We also celebrate our students during yearly awards programs and spotlight individual successes on our social media accounts. We have also had the honor of sharing the wonderful things our students have created digitally at the Digital Learning Showcase hosted by our Board of Education which is aired to the public through YouTube.
